Visual Decoder for Stories Storytelling Event with Times Bookstore

PictureThink conducted a public Visual Decoder for Stories Storytelling event at Times Waterway Bookstore on 11 Nov 23. We covered the story of โ€œMabel and the Mountainโ€, and taught the children how to draw out the key elements of the story using our Visual Decoder template.

At the end of the session, the children were encouraged to draw out their takeaways, and submit their Visual Decoder pictures for the Visual Decoder for Stories Contest. The objective of this contest is to encourage children to use pictures to aid retelling, exploring and consolidating what they know about a story. This contest with Times for 5-8 yo children will close on ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฒ ๐——๐—ฒ๐—ฐ ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฏ. For more details, please visit https://picturethink.com/visual-decoder-contest/. Keep the entries coming in!

Here are some of the pictures taken at the event.

We thank Times.Reads for their support and book prizes.
